Hello World

Hi everyone,

Mike here, I do Webdev/Hosting based in Durbs. Just had my reseller hosting come up for renewal and decided to move across to a more solid system with WHMCS etc. Ive been hosting quite a few sites for about 3 years now mostly from friends referals / sites I have designed. Going to try kick it up a notch now.

Still working hard on moving myself/clients over to the new hosting so no url's yet.

Hi Octal, and welcome to our community What kind of hosting do you offer? And, please feel to advertise your services & offerings to the community.

What billing system, or process did you use before WHMCS?

Thanks Rudi,

The target for our hosting is going to be primarily small scale sites & email. I also do a fully managed solution for a lot of my clients that don't want the hassles of FTP/cPanel etc, they just send me updates and changed via e-mail and I take care of it.

Still need to sit and go through skinning of my cPanel and WHMCS. Also need to get all my existing clients moved across before I can think about anything else

Before WHMCS everything was being done manually. I did experiment for a while with using the 10 client free version of ModernBill and I have tested out ClientExec. WHMCS seems to do everything I want in the friendliest way already got it setup to work with creating accounts and registering .co.za's the only thing is my .com/.net provider does not deal with WHMCS automation so I am busy looking at options for that.

Hello Octal,

I, and a lot of other people, can tell you that using WHMCSi is a good move. We also used ClientExec, and Modernbill - but they both lacked quite a bit of tools for the South African market. With WHMCS we could at least code those modules in ourselves
